MORE WAGES MAY BE TAKEN TO COVER CHILD SUPPORT.(LIFE & LEISURE)

As the first of the year passes into early winter, some employees could find a part of their paycheck gone, and it won't necessarily be a result of new tax brackets.

Come Jan. 1, a federal law will require employers to subtract new child support awards from wages. While the Family Support Act of 1988 has required wage withholding in cases where mainly women use social services as the avenue for enforcement, this clause makes immediate payroll withdrawal available to everyone.
